Small Water Games-Ness Lake Bible Camp

WATER

1-Sweater Switch-contestants put on a sweater and swim across the swim area then have to get out switch the sweater with another player and continue until an equal number from each team go. SECRET- hold hands and get a third person pull off sweater and onto the next.

2-In and Out-two guys paddle a canoe blindfolded with their hands and get directions from two girls in the canoe. Anytime a siren goes off all the participants jump out and then back in again. First ones to a buoy and then back

3-Trebuchet Hit-four players stand in the shallow end of the swim area and try to get hit by the balloons launched from a trebuchet. Splash counts but bigger points for direct hits.

4-Pool noodle sword fights-wrap sticks with pool noodles to make swords
-Rules-no head shots- one point for arms and shoulders and legs, two points for jab in the torso
-for a sweet twist give them some shields to hide behind… oh man would that be sweet
-get kids to stand on the lily pads we had a few years back
-Equipment-old life jackets to protect torso and hockey helmets, hockey gloves

5-Jousting on Lilly Pads-teams send a one representative from small medium and large categories to compete against each other in the jousting competition

6-Ring hit-groups of 3-4 from each team get together on top of the blob tower and try to jump through hula hoops that are floating in the water. Each hoop is worth a certain amount of points. Hula hoops are safer...

7-Best Blob-Judges are set up and used to judge the best blob… tricks, things worn, style and height are a must for points.

8-Canoe Sink- teams see how many people they can fit into a canoe with out sinking it. They are on a time limit and the canoe can be held up until the timer goes and then everyone must be clear of the canoe so it can float free from help for a certain time.

9-In Water Tug of War-It doesn’t get much simpler than this

10-Floatation gathering-take all those silly floatation things in the office and chuck them into the water then say go and let 2 reps from each team go out and try to collect as many as possible. Rules are stuff like noone is allowed to hold onto anyone else and they cannot steal a float that someone else is holding onto.

11-Holes In Canoe- Take an old canoe and drill some holes in it. Each team has one bailer and two paddlers and they try not to sink before they reach the mark.

12-Surf Board Smash- a support staff member (or maybe a speaker?) is out on the surf board paddling around while a team is trying to launch water balloons at them with the trebuchet.

13.-Canoe fill-Kids surround a canoe and fill it with water until the sucker sinks. First canoe under the water wins!

14..-Mud Monsters-everyone from each team gets totally muddy then goes onto different sides of the shallow area of the water. When the whistle blows you splash the other team until they become clean. When clean you must sit out on the beach.

15-Canoe Tug of War

16- Dive for Keys-you have 6 lock and 6 keys. Keys have coloured tags to help find the right locks.

17-Greased Watermelon Rugby-can only pass it backwards

18-Water Polo-using water balloons or other goofy things as a ball. Use buckets on dock as nets. Variations are instead of trying to get it in a basket you are trying to knock over the other teams bottle that is on the dock

19-T rescue or canoe over canoe rescue-timed event where both canoes start with all players out and both canoes swamped.

20-Diving games- colored rocks that you randomly throw into the water. Teams get timed to see how many they can retrieve in a certain time. Note to self...lifegaurds hate me for a reason

21-Raft Build-give goofy materials that they have to build a raft with then get a candle out to a light or tiki torch on floating in the water

22-Big Jump-Jumping from a dock or diving board/platform you have to reach out and touch a bell or a pool noodle.

23- Texas Snowball fight- Panty hose. Cut them in 6 inches. Tie one end. Fill with Texas snow a.k.a flour, tie other end. Whip at opponents. Take them into water to clean off and thus dough ensues.

24-Over Under-teams line up and have to pass a small pail over their head and under the next persons legs as it goes down the line. At the end is a pail with tones of holes drilled in it that they are trying to fill all the way up to the top.
