Code of Conduct- Staff Training
This is The start of our Staff training sessions, rather than have to keep adding to a list of rules every summer for the staff, we have them write their own code of conduct; which the director approves and then the staff are held accountable to.
It allows them to be creative and have fun, while at the same time really considering how they want their summer to go.
Session #1 ~ Code of Conduct
What we expect:
Be Open and Honest with each other
• If you have a problem, admit it and ask for help
• If you have a problem with someone, speak to that person privately first (Matthew 18:15-35)
Respect Yourselves and Others
• Be modest, (this applies to guys and girls)
• Have respect for others and their stuff, (e.g. ask before borrowing) (Colossians 3:12-17)
• Love each other and put each other first. John13:35 ~ “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
1 Corinthians 6:20 ~ For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God’s.
Everything you do should be done with the ultimate goal of glorifying God.
You are young adults and fully capable of making your own decisions. We won’t tell you how to act, we will help you to make the right choices. Remember that the campers will look up to you so be Christ to them (Gal 2:20, 3:27, 5:22-26). For many of them, you could be the only good example they have to look up to.
All of our staff are required to write out their own code of conduct. The Director will approve it, and that is the standard we expect you to follow this summer.
