MEALS
-First meal is done in the rose bowl with campers
-meals with squirts are done with your campers as well

Your job during a meal
Make sure every kid gets some food
make sure that noise level is appropriate
get to know the kids at your table
teach some basic manners-please and thank-you, sharing, staying seated…etc

Dirtiest plate scrapes
Bang-pick a number in your head. Shoot at a kid by saying bang, they pass it on until the number runs out. Once it runs out the kid that got shot has to scrape
If you are wearing this….
Pick a number-whoever is closest has to scrape
Whoever has gum under their chair scrapes

What if a kid won’t eat?
-Ask why?
-Be sensitive
-Allergy talk to kitchen
-It’s OK to miss a meal, some kids don’t eat breakfast, there is tuck time…etc
-there’s always fruit from the kitchen
-if the problem goes on you must talk to their leader and the head leader

Getting into table groups-on the first full days morning torture get all the kids at the beach and into lines with their cabin. Split the camp into the four team groups and let them know that these are their permanent teams for the week. One group at the slide, 2nd at the trees in front of the water, 3rd by the jungle swing and the 4th up the hill a bit. Leaders give each kid in their cabin a number 1-5. Leaders then split themselves into 5 groups to make table leader groups (One team also includes cabin 12 because of the math so it has a table of 8 also) LITs shouldn’t be alone just as two leaders should not be together. Kids hold up their number on their hand and go to the leader that is calling out their number. Once a table has 9 ,including leader, they go and line up in front of the dining hall. Tables hold 9 so if there is more than 9 in a group leaders fill in the holes at other tables with their extras but if all of a teams tables are full they are sent to the program person who will take all the extras and extra leaders to make up another table.
