Plane Crash! / War

Have everyone stand on one side of the field, (if you have a ridiculously large field, perhaps set some boundaries first using some rope or pilons)
Tell the kids a short story about how they were just in the great Potato war! (mix it up as you feel led, I find timbit war works good, jello war, etc.) The Gravy was just too much! a rival camp came and the mashed potatoes were flying!
the war is almost over, but they have to make it from where they are to the other side of the battle field! (motion to the outlined area -rope) They must go as a GROUP all together or they will be sniped out with spud slingers!
It all sounds so easy but some of them have injuries and need help.(this is the fun part)
you start listing off people with "injuries"
such as:
lost your arms (they must put their arms behind their back)
lost legs (must sit down)
cannot see (must shut their eyes)
cannot speak (must be quiet)
are now a vegetable (must lie down and close eyes)
you can get creative with the injuries, just make sure that there are enough relatively "healthy" ones to help them all across.

let the kids get creative and talk it out, it is important to be supportive, but dont tell them how to solve it, or they wont learn anything. nor will they get any sense of accomplishment out of it.
before they start, remind them that they all must cross the finish line together! no one gets left behind! and if some of them are starting to get left behind they will all have to start over... so work as a team!
