General Waterfront
Standard Operating Procedure

1. Waterfront is closed unless a Life Guard is ON DUTY. Staff children and Weekly Team volunteers may access the waterfront as long as children are actively supervised by a parent.

2. DOCKS are out of bounds when the Waterfront is closed. Cabin Leaders may access the docks for Cabin Discussions.

3. Please WALK on the docks. Our docks are slippery when wet and wave action may contribute to stubbed toes. Running is not permitted.

4. Respect others: No pushing or dunking. No horseplay, sand or rock throwing, etc. Campers who do not follow the rules will be ‘Beached’

5. Swim in the enclosed area only. Do not swim under the docks!

6. No DIVING from the docks on the shore side of the ladders

7. Swimming is permitted during daylight only. No swimming after dusk.

8. Please keep waterfront toys in the swimming area.

9. Please obey the Lifeguards and know the whistle commands:
• One blast = ‘Attention!’
• Three blasts = ‘Clear the waterfront’

10. The Lifeguard Office and Ski Room are out of bounds.

11. Footwear must be worn to and from the beach

12. Please do not fish from the docks during open waterfront. Do not fish near the blob.

13. Campers who do not follow the rules will be ‘BEACHED’

Be Safe and Enjoy our Waterfront!
