The count

NUMBERS-players all stand in a circle facing each other. Together they count down 3, 2, 1…at 1 everyone puts one hand with a certain amount of fingers out. The person to say the correct number first is the winner. Harder than it sounds, great for younger ages.

I don't get it... (apparently my Math/Ed degree is useless!!) So, the "correct number", what is that? The total of all of the fingers held in the middle by everyone or what?
