Standard Operating Procedure



1.	The Zip Line has the potential to cause injury.  Because of this, NLBC will train Summer Staff to follow the procedure outlined below.



2.	Participants must wear a climbing harness.  Harnesses must be fitted adjusted by trained personnel.  Check:

&#8226;	Location (waist belt above hips, buckles on outside of legs

&#8226;	Fit (1 finger jamb at waist, 3 finger collapse at legs)

&#8226;	Buckles doubled back (minimum 5 cm / 2&#8221; tail)

			<description>We have recently put in a high ropes course.  It was built by Challenges Unlimited.  They are one of two companies that is certified by the ACA to build such courses.  They did training for our staff and it was great.  I would fully recommend anyone else using Challenges for such courses.</description>
